Research Interest

Dr Hirano is the Chief of Nanotoxicology Section (RCER) of the National Institute for Environmental Studies. His main research interests are (1) the Metabolism and toxicity of arsenic, (2) the in vitro and in vivo toxicity of nanoparticles and nanomaterials, and (3) the interaction of cellular membrane with particulate materials.
